Physical Description
Large, muscular, squarely built dog, The head is strong, rectangular in shape with brown, oval eyes and an arched brown. The v-shaped button ears are cropped erect or left natural. The nose is large and black. Tail is docked short and carried erect.

Temperament
An intelligent dog that gets on well with dogs, other pets and even children. Very lively and playful, affectionate and devoted to its family.

Training
Quick learner, however they can be stubbon at times

Living Conditions
Does best with an active, faimly, although it will adapt to city, rural or suburban life as long as it is exercised properly.

Grooming
The Schnauzer needs plucking about twice a year, brush as needed to keep tangle free
