This breed can live as long as 14 years of age

8 to 11 pounds & 9 to 10 inches tall

Known Health Problems
Cancer, Tumors, Cataracts, Cushing's Disease, Epilepsy, Hypothyroidism, Legg-Perthes Disease, luxating patellas, pancreatic disease.

Physical Description
Small, lightly built dog that is slightly longer than it is tall. The head is strong, long and wedge-shaped with a flat skull that is slightly longer than the muzzle. Nose is black and eyes are small, dark and almond-shaped. Ears are naturally erect, small and v-shaped. Body is low set and tail is docked and set high.

Temperment
This breed is good with children but is not usually good with other animals. Silky Terriers are also difficult to train...

Living Conditions
This breed will do ok in an apartment. This breed must be kept indoors, it not suitalbe to sleep outdoors

Brush daily

Exercise
Moderate Exercise Needs. This breed must be sufficiently exercised or given space to run

Coat is single, straight and glossy.
