Physical Description Small, square and sturdy dog with a deep, narrow body. Skull is flat and broad and the muzzle is strong and straight.. The head is rectangular. The nose is black or liver. The eyes are small, oval and brown. The ears are v-shaped and fold forward. The tail is docked and carried erect. |
Temperament The Lakeland Terrier is an affectionate, self-confident dog that is loving with children and they also get along well with other dogs. They do however need to be socialized with cats when they are young so that they will not chase them. This breed is also wary of strangers and it can be a good watchdog |

Grooming Coat needs plucked 2-3 times a year. The ears also need to be kept clean and the hair aroung the pads of the feet shoule be trimmed |
Exercise This breed should be allowed to run and play off lead in a fenced area. They also enjoy agility and flyball. |
