Known Health Problems
Fairly healthy breed, however may have some issues with old age like dry skin and cataracts..Chondrodysplasia, deafness, hip dysplasia, juvenile cataracts, liver shunts, luxating patellas.

Physical Description
Small, study dog that is longer than it is tall. The head is wedge-shaped and slightly broad. The skull is slightly rounded. The muzzle is equal in length to the skull. Eyes and nose are dark. Ears are drop. Plumed tail is carried over the back.

Temperament
Cheerful & affectionate. This little dog is playful and gentle-natured getting along well with other animals & Children.. They do not however like to be pestered by small children.

Training
Quick learner who loves to please its owner.. Do not use harsh words with this breed when training, they can be sensitive.

Living Conditions
Apartment living is ok.

Grooming
Thoroughly brush and comb and lest twice a week with occasional bathing

Exercise
Low activity level. short daily walks should be sufficient for this dog

Coat Texture
Longhaired ,some do have an undercoat, some do not. coat comes from straight to a tight curl, the most common, and most prefered, is the wavy coat.

Coat Colors
Comes in many colors of solid, parti and tricolors

Puppies
Average litter size is 3-7 Puppies.
