Physical Description A medium sized dog that has long drop ears and long slightly curved tail that is carried upward. The nose is black and the eyes are dark colored. |
Temperament Affectionate dog that is a great hunter. They are not however a good dog for the first time dog owner as they tend to be more dominant in nature. |
Training Obedience training can be challenging with this dog, They should be started with socialization and obedience training as puppy. |
Living Conditions Not recommended for apartment living, Should be in a home with at least a large fenced yard. |
Grooming Regularly brushing may be needed to remove dead hairs. The ears should also be cleaned often to prevent infections in the ear due to moisture. Bathe only when necessary as to not dry the skin out. |
Exercise These dog have high exercise needs and need to be exercised daily. |
