Temperament
Affectionate, loyal dog. They enjoy the company of other dogs as well as their owner.

Dog is intelligent and is usually a quick learner

Living Conditions
Will do ok with apartment/city living if exercise daily

Grooming
Regular brushing needed for the short-haired and the long-haired. The rough-coated should never be brushed, but rather combed instead

Exercise
The Dutch Shepherd needs alot of exercise. They would enjoy running along side a bicycle, or running freely in fenced area

There are 3 coat types, they are short-haired, long-haired and rough-haired.
