These dogs are Affectionate with children and the family. They usually do well with other dogs as well.
However they may chase cats or other small animals due to their hunting instincts. The Cretan hound can also be somewhat reserved with stangers.

Training
You should use calm but firm training methods.

Living Conditions
Not recommended for apartment or city living

Grooming
This breed is an average shedder. Brush and bathe as needed and keep nails trimmed.

Exercise
The cretan Hound needs alot of daily exercise, They should walked daily or allowed to run in a fenced area.
