Physical Description very small dog that is lightly longer than it is tall. The skull is large and rounded. Muzzle is short and slightly pointed. The eyes are large and full. Ears are large and erect. Tail is natural and moderatly long, carried erect, horizontally, orin a loop over the back. |
Temperament This breed is alert & bold. They love their families very much and are very loyal, but may be nervous around people they don't know. Chihuahuas are intelligent but may be difficult to train. Some chihuahuas do not do well with other dogs & animals, and need to be socialized with other animals early on. But there are some that do very well with other animals. |

Living Conditions This breed will do ok in an apartment. They do better in a warmer climates as they get cold easily and need to be kept warm. |
Grooming Smooth & lonhair chihuahuas should be brushed at least twice a week. |
Exercise Little exercise needed for this breed, and usually gets plenty of exercise indoors running about. |
Coat Texture longhaired type is soft, flat and slightly curly. The smooth coat is soft, glossy and straight. |
