Physical Description
Med/Large size dog has broad deep chest. Legs are strong. The head is well defined and the muzzle is about medium size with a black nose. The ears are triangular and set high on the head, they hang down on the side.. The tail is long and should not be docked.

Temperament
A bold and Independent breed. They are an excellent herder and make a great guard dog due to their tendancy to be territorial. For that reason, these dogs should not be kept with small children. They are loyal , but they tend to take to just one individual.

Training
Training and socialization should begin when the dog is a just a puppy. They need a firm and consistant training.

Living Conditions
Would be best kept on a farm or in a home where the dog has plenty of space to run and exercise

Grooming
Minimal Grooming Needed, bathe as necessary and keep ears and nails trimmed

Exercise
They are active and need to have regular daily exercise. Walking daily and allowed to run in a large fenced area would be ideal.

Coat Texture
They come in 2 coat varieties, short being the most common. However they can also have a long coat.
