named after the Italian city of Bologna. This breed could possible be descended from Bichons of Southern Italy

This breed can live as long as 14-15 years of age on average

5 to 9 pounds & 10 to 12 inches tall at the shoulders

Known Health Problems
This is a healthy breed with little health problems.

Physical Description
Toy breed with a sturdy body that is only slightly longer than it is tall. The head and muzzle are medium-length. The nose and lips are black. Eyes are dark and round with dark rims. The ears are drop and the tail is carried over the back.

Temperament
A cheerful little dog who gets along well with other dogs pets and even children. This breed can however be wary of strangers

Training
Breed is farily easy to train

Living Conditions
The bolognese will do ok in a an apartment

Grooming
Coat needs to be combed daily to keep it tangle free. They also need to be bathed regulary to keep the coat white.

Exercise
Only needs average amounts of exercise. The are not highly active but would enjoy being taken for walks

Coat Texture
This dog has a mass of long, erect locks with no undercoat present.

White

3-5 pups per litter.
