Physical Description
Medium to large, heavy boned and muscular dog. It has a large, long head with a blunt muzzle, a large, black nose and thin drop ears. The tail is long and thick.

Temperament
Calm dog that loves its family including children. They are reserved with strangers making them a great guard dog. The Bergamasco will usually do ok with others pets if socialized with them early on.

Training
Not difficult to train.. Be consistant with them and socialize them well

Living Conditions
Would do best in a rural home.

Grooming
Coat needs to be hand divided in fringes of equal thickness , therefore needing lots of coat care.. Also needs the hair on the head brushed regularly

Exercise
Needs plenty of regular exercise with walks or a large fenced yard to run freely

Coat Texture
Long, heavy, rough coat forms cords.

Grey, Black
