Physical Description
Medium size dog with a square muzzle, dark brown eyes, black or brown nose, and long broad drop ears. The tail is long with a slight hook at the end.

Temperament
Affectionate, loyal and friendly. The Barbet usually does ok with children and other animals

Training
The Barbet is intelligent and usually learns quickly. It will need a sensitive trainer who will be consistent with it.

Living Conditions
Adaptable dog that does well in both rural or city homes as long as it is exercised daily.

Grooming
Brush coat thouroughly on a regular basis to keep coat tangle free

Exercise
Moderate Exercise Needs. The Barbet loves water and retrieving. They also enjoy long walks
