Physical Description
Medium size to large muscular dog. It has a long, broad head, medium-length drop ears and large brown eyes. The muzzle is straight and square. The tail is set high and curved.

Temperament
Gentle in nature, the foxhounds make good family dogs. They get along with almost everyone, including children and other dogs.

Training
They can be stubborn and independent, so training takes patience.

Living Conditions
Not suitable for apartment/city living

Little grooming need for this breed

The American Foxhound needs alot of daily exercise
